A Notification has been issued on 13-04-2022 in connection with the Use of Social Media by Government Servants Punjab by Directorate of Public Instructions (EE) Punjab Lahore.Further detail of said notification in same is as under;

Use of Social Media by Government Servants Punjab

The Punjab government had issued a notification in October 2021 for banning all its employees from using social and conventional media, saying it was against the rules of service. It further stated that under the rules, no government servant could participate on any media platform except with the express permission of the government. Rule 18 of the service rules bars a government servant from sharing official information or documents with a government servant unauthorised to receive it or a private person or the press.

Detail of Notification

I am directed to enclose herewith Government letter No. SO (G) 11-2/GD/2022 dated 06-04-2022 addressed to this Directorate along with a copy of letter No. SO(C-III) 12-71/2021, dated 24-03-2022 by Additional Secretary (Confidential, S&GAD for strict compliance by all Government servants under your administrative control.
