In response to severe weather conditions, both private and public schools across Punjab have prolonged their winter timings until January 31st.
Commencing at 09:30 am, all schools in Punjab, regardless of their public or private nature, will maintain this schedule during the extended winter period.
Initially slated to conclude on January 23rd, the winter timings in Punjab schools have now been further extended, with the revised end date set for January 31st.
Normal school timings are expected to resume from February 1st onwards.
It’s noteworthy that there is no additional extension for the winter vacations of nursery and prep students in Punjab. Despite the initial extension until January 19th, as declared on January 10, the current status remains unchanged.
The official notification released on January 10 emphasizes the suspension of assemblies and all outdoor activities in schools until January 31, 2024.
