FBR Employees to Receive 2 to 4 Basic Salaries as Reward for Exceeding Revenue Targets

In a remarkable acknowledgment of their hard work and dedication, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of Pakistan has decided to reward its employees with special bonuses. Officers and staff from grades 1 to 21 at both the FBR headquarters and field formations are set to receive 2 to 4 basic salaries as a reward. This decision comes in light of the exceptional tax collections surpassing the set targets for the second quarter (October to December) of the fiscal year 2023-24.

Overachieving Revenue Goals

The FBR officials highlighted that the substantial surplus in tax collections during the specified period warranted special recognition. This decision underscores the commitment and efficiency of the FBR staff in enhancing the revenue generation for the country.

Recognition and Motivation

The FBR’s move to award additional salaries as a reward serves not only as recognition of the current achievements of its employees but also as a motivation for continued excellence in their performance. It is a testament to the organization’s dedication to acknowledging the hard work and results delivered by its workforce.

Gathering Data for Rewards Distribution

In line with this decision, the FBR has requested lists from the heads of all large taxpayer offices and customs field offices. This data collection will facilitate the process of distributing the rewards to the deserving employees efficiently and transparently.

A Model for Other Departments

The FBR’s initiative sets a positive precedent for other government departments in Pakistan, highlighting the importance of recognizing and rewarding employees who go above and beyond in their duties. It also reflects the FBR’s commitment to not only achieving but exceeding its fiscal goals, a crucial aspect for the economic stability and growth of the country.

This move by the FBR is seen as a significant step towards encouraging a culture of excellence and accountability within the organization and serves as an example for other public institutions.
