Free Museum Entry Offer at Sharjah Until March 3rd

Exciting news for residents and tourists in the Emirates! Sharjah Museums are offering free entry to their museums until March 3rd, 2024, providing a wonderful opportunity to explore the rich heritage and culture of the Emiratis.

Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has made this initiative possible, granting access to some of the emirate’s most significant museums, including Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn), Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, Bait Al Naboodah, and Hisn Khorfakkan.

In addition to free entry, SMA has launched the “Museums Express,” a mobile museum bus that travels on scheduled days through Dibba Al Hisn and the Heart of Sharjah, offering a unique way to experience the emirate’s traditions.

The initiative also includes hands-on workshops where visitors can learn about various aspects of Emirati culture. For example, workshops at Al Hisn Towers in Sharjah Fort will delve into the area’s history, while Bait al Naboodah will host workshops on floral painting and geometric designs.

Sharjah Calligraphy Museum will offer workshops on crafting pendants with Arabic letters, providing a glimpse into the art of calligraphy.

Several museums will host exhibitions, such as “The Art of Architectural Decoration in the Emirate of Sharjah” at Bait Al Naboodah and “Geometric and Floral Ornaments” at Bait Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamad Al Qasimi. Additionally, the Sharjah Calligraphy Museum will showcase “Honourable Ornament” until August 18, 2024.

The museums are open from Saturday to Thursday, from 8 am to 8 pm, and on Fridays from 8 am to 4 pm. For more information on events, timings, and locations, visit the SMA website.
