A notification has been issued vide No. SO(Univ)51-1/2009 on 09-02-2022 in connection with Constitution of Thal University Bhakkar by Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department. Further detail of said notification in same is as under;
Notification of Constitution of Thal University Bhakkar
Pursuant to Section 3(1) of the Thal University Bhakkar Act 2021 (XI, VI of 2021) promulgated on 24-12-2021, the sub-campus of the University of Sargodha at Bhakkar is reconstituted as “Thal University Bhakkar”. (a University in the Public Sector), with immediate effect.
It is a good initiative of the Government of Punjab. This will add one more university to the list of universities in Pakistan.
