A Notification has been issued on 07-03-2022 in connection with Safety measures for School Children at the Time of Opening & Closing of Schools to reduce traffic accidents by Government of the Punjab, School Education Department. Further detail of said notification in same is as under;
Safety Measures for School Children at Opening/Closing of Schools
According to the Notification, I am directed to inform you that the competent Authority has directed that every school (Public / Private) shall devise a plan to ensure safe road crossing of school children during school opening & closing time, keeping in view the traffic load on the roads so as to avoid traffic accidents. Moreover, the head of each school will depute a teacher for safe road crossing of students outside the school premises during opening & closing time. Furthermore, a duty roster shall be made in this regard by all schools and school management shall ensure compliance with the duty roster.
I am further directed to request you to disseminate the directions at all levels and also ensure the implementation of above said directions in true letter and spirit.
This may be treated as a top priority.
