A notification has been issued on 02 June 2022 in connection with SVA, Special Vetting Agency for verification and screening of all Public Office Holders ( Officer’s Category) for induction, important postings/ appointments, and promotions. Further detail of said notification in same is as under;

ISI Notified as SVA for Screening of all Public Office Holders

In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Civil Servan. Act 1973 (LXXI of (973), read with Notification No. S.R.O. (20())/1998, dated 271 February 1998, the Prime Minister is pleased to notify Directorate General Inter-Services Intelligence ((SI) as Special Vetting Agency (SVA) for verification and screening of all Public Office Holders (officers’ category) for induction, important postings/appointments, and promotions.

Detail

The postings, as well as appointments at the top positions in the Civil institutions, would be subject to clearance from the Special Vetting Agency.

The agency will screen the candidates for the top posts in the Public Offices. The notification come at a time when the Federal Government is in the process of making important announcements regarding the postings of high-level bureaucrats.
