A notification has been issued on 26th October 2021 in connection with the observance of Black Day on 27th October 2021.Further detail of said notification in same is as under;


OBSERVANCE OF BLACK DAY 27TH OCTOBER, 2021


Kindly refer to the Information & Culture Department, Govt. of Punjab’s letter No. SOC(INF)4-3/2015(Vol-III) dated 17-09-2021, followed by this office letter of Even No. dated 21-09-2021 regarding the subject matter.

2. I am directed to intimate that the Punjab Government has decided to observe ‘Black Day’ on 27th October 2021 in the province in order to highlight human rights violation and excessive use of force by the Indian Government in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir after the unilateral, illegal and unjustified abrogation of Constitutional status of IOJ&K. For the purpose, different programmes/events have been planned to be carried out / performed by the concerned stakeholders.

  3.  The following events/activities in all schools (public/private), shall be carried under the School Education Department:-

  1. Conduct of debates and declamation contests
  2. Photo exhibition

4. You are, therefore, requested to disseminate directions to lower formation/heads of schools for the conduct of above-said events/activities in schools (Public/Private) on 27th October 2021 to observe ‘Black Day’ which shall enthusiastically be participated by teachers and students at all levels. Action taken report along with activities based snaps shall be furnished to this office through email at ddm2.cmmf@gmail.com on 27-10-2021 till 03:00 PM without fail, for onward submission to the office of Chief Secretary Punjab with reference to the subject Task ID.
