A notification has been issued ny Govt.of Punjab Local Govt and Community Development on 21 October 2021in connection with transfer of Financial and Physical assets and liabilities to the concerned local Governments.Further detail of said notification in same is as under;
TRANSFER OF FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL ASSETS AND LIABOLITIES TO THE CONCERNED LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that pursuant to short order dated 25.03.2021 of August Supreme Court of Pakistan and detailed judgement announced in the month of July 2021, this Department vide notification dated 17.10.2021 has withdrawn notification of constitution of local governments under Punjab Local Government Act. 2019 and restored local governments established under Punjab Local Government Act, 2013.
- In this regard, the competent authority has been pleased to desire that all assets and liabilities including vehicles may be transferred to the concerned local governments i.e. Metropolitan Corporation, Municipal Corporations, Municipal Committees and District Councils and extend full cooperation.
- The mater may be treated as Top Priority.
