Weather Forecast and Rain Prediction in Pakistan

On Friday, the MET office predicted a dry and chilly weather across Pakistan, with a chance of light rain and snowfall in certain regions.

This winter, Pakistan is seeing lower levels of rain and snow in mountainous areas and higher cold in plain regions.

The sun has been absent in many parts for several days, but rain is now expected in various areas of the country.

Karachi is expected to continue experiencing cold temperatures based on the PMD’s weather forecast. Hyderabad, Sindh, recorded the lowest temperature at 6 degrees Celsius, while Karachi had the minimum temperature of 12.

Punjab’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of light rain or drizzle in certain places like Murree. Additionally, light snowfall is likely in the mountains.

However, there may be light rain in specific areas and light snow in the mountains in various districts, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Kohat, Karam, Khyber, Mohmand, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, and Waziristan.

The National Weather Forecasting Center in Islamabad predicts persistent dense fog in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, leading to extremely cold weather due to consistently low daytime temperatures.

Specific cautions are advised for citizens as areas like Charsadda, Mardan, Nowshera, Swabi, Peshawar, Fortunate Marwat, Bannu, and nearby regions are expected to experience dense fog.

Dense fog will impact several regions, including Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Mangala, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Multan, Khanpur, Rahimyar Khan, Hafizabad, Bhakkar, Leh, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Gur.

Smog is a concern for Jacobabad, Hyderabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kashmore, and Padaidan, leading to sub-optimal daytime highs across most of the province’s districts.
