A notification of Safety and Security of Tablets provided by PBS has been issued on 23-02-2023.Further detail is as under,
Safety and Security of Tablest for Census 2023 PBS
According to 7th Population & Housing Census implementation strategy of Digital Census, data will be collected through Tablet Devices. Keeping in view the importance of Tablet Devices, these are properly covered with Jacket / Bag and distributed to trained field staff for conduct of full roll out activity.
However, it has been observed with great concern by higher authority that Tablets are not kept in safe & standard custody by the field staff. Further, it has been reported that due to carelessness some of these tablets are damaged / broken. It is, therefore, clarified that:-
- i) Provided Tablets are fully rugged, covered with proper jacket and cannot break if fall from normal height incidentally.
- ii) PBS having no provision for spare Tablets, so far.
Keeping in view of the above, PBS staff deployed at CSC is hereby instructed to direct the enumerator that safe and standard security from handing over to taking over of Tablets device is the responsibility of the concerned enumerator.
